Although escitalopram (ESC) is no having dopamine (DA) transporter (DAT) inhibitory-action, having dopamine nerve (A10 nerve) stimulus operation by the ESC used basic experiment is reported. We supposed the mechanism that the DA increases and it supposed the mechanism that makes a non-organic pain disappear with ①5-HT reinforcement of the descending pain modulatory system, ②the opioid receptor activation with the descending pain modulatory system, ③negative emotion block from the amygdala and the hippocampus to the nucleus accumbens, ④5-HT1A receptor stimulation from the activation of the amygdala, ⑤DA-phasic activity activation. As a result ④ and ⑤ two items were an operation with a main restraint mechanism of a nonorganic-pain. ESC is different from other SSRIs, and we know that ESC make a DA increase at the VTA. We supposed amygdala that a functional depression declined by corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) is improved with ④ and ③. After DA stimulate by A10 nerve, DA is undergone metabolic change to, and the endogenous opioid peptide (βendorphin) is made

Observation of band crossings protected by nonsymmorphic symmetry in the layered ternary telluride Ta3SiTe6

We have performed angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy of layered ternary telluride Ta3SiTe6 which is predicted to host nodal lines associated with nonsymmorphic crystal symmetry. We found that the energy bands in the valence-band region show Dirac-like dispersions which present a band degeneracy at the R point of the bulk orthorhombic Brillouin zone. This band degeneracy extends one-dimensionally along the whole SR high-symmetry line, forming the nodal lines protected by the glide mirror symmetry of the crystal. We also observed a small band splitting near EF which supports the existence of hourglass-type dispersions predicted by the calculation. The present results provide an excellent opportunity to investigate the interplay between exotic nodal fermions and nonsymmorphic crystal symmetry.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure

IP3 receptor isoforms differently regulate ER-mitochondrial contacts and local calcium transfer

    Get PDF
Contact sites of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and mitochondria locally convey calcium signals between the IP3 receptors (IP3R) and the mitochondrial calcium uniporter, and are central to cell survival. It remains unclear whether IP3Rs also have a structural role in contact formation and whether the different IP3R isoforms have redundant functions. Using an IP3R-deficient cell model rescued with each of the three IP3R isoforms and an array of super-resolution and ultrastructural approaches we demonstrate that IP3Rs are required for maintaining ER-mitochondrial contacts. This role is independent of calcium fluxes. We also show that, while each isoform can support contacts, type 2 IP3R is the most effective in delivering calcium to the mitochondria. Thus, these studies reveal a non-canonical, structural role for the IP3Rs and direct attention towards the type 2 IP3R that was previously neglected in the context of ER-mitochondrial calcium signaling

Orthogonal antibody testing for COVID-19 among healthcare workers in a non-epidemic place and time: Japan's Iwate Prefecture, May 18-31, 2020

Of the 47 prefectures in Japan, Iwate had the fewest cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), with the first diagnosis officially confirmed on July 28, 2020. A baseline serological survey of COVID-19 antibodies is essential to accurately evaluate an epidemic outbreak. The primary purpose of this study was to determine pre-epidemic prevalence of COVID-19 antibodies among healthcare workers, using two laboratory-based quantitative tests. In addition, a point-of-care (POC) qualitative test, rapid, simple, and convenient for primary care clinics, was compared with the laboratory-based tests. All antibody tests were performed on serum from 1,000 healthcare workers (mean age, 40 ± 11 years) in Iwate Prefectural Central Hospital, May 29-31, 2020. A COVID-19 case was defined as showing positive results in both laboratory-based quantitative tests. None of 1,000 samples had positive results in both of the laboratory immunoassays. The POC test showed positive results in 33 of 1,000 samples (3.3%) (95% confidence interval:2.19-4.41), but no samples were simultaneously positive in both laboratory-based tests. In conclusion, COVID-19 cases were not serologically confirmed by a baseline control study of healthcare workers at our hospital in late May, 2020. Moreover, the POC qualitative test may offer no advantage in areas with very low prevalence of COVID-19, due to higher false-positive reactions compared with laboratory-based quantitative immunoassays

    The shape of the emotion

The emotion is an active reaction with being eloquent of the emotions such as the change of the look with the physiological reaction which is strong in the automatic nerves system, the immune system, the endocrine system which occurs with the organolepty which the creature felt. However, the definition of the emotion is ambiguous. It is different roughly every learning field and for it, there is not a strict distinction of the emotion and the feelings. The handling depends on the interval of the research area and the researcher. There seems to be possibility to complicate the discussion of the concerning with anxiety, theamygdala which is the nucleus of the fear and a cerebral limbic system for the ambiguousness of the definition and to make difficult. Therefore, we made a chart with the emotion , feelings and the mood, placing as the differentreaction. In the tunnel of the tube-like of the comparatively gently long lasting mood, the feelings were wavering but supposed that doing of the eloquent of the emotion which is a physiological reaction and an active reaction didn\u27t accompany. On the other hand, it supposed that an emotion was accompanied by the reaction which is physiological which is strong in the automatic nerves system, the immune system, the endocrine system and doing of the eloquent of the emotion physiological strong, deviating from the feeling control by the ventromedial prefrontal cortex. Moreover, it considered about the relation, too, about the amygdala which is the existence like a nucleus of the experience like an emotion and the chronic pain

Formal Specification Based Automatic Test Generation for Embedded Network Systems

    Get PDF
Embedded systems have become increasingly connected and communicate with each other, forming large-scaled and complicated network systems. To make their design and testing more reliable and robust, this paper proposes a formal specification language called SENS and a SENS-based automatic test generation tool called TGSENS. Our approach is summarized as follows: (1) A user describes requirements of target embedded network systems by logical property-based constraints using SENS. (2) Given SENS specifications, test cases are automatically generated using a SAT-based solver. Filtering mechanisms to select efficient test cases are also available in our tool. (3) In addition, given a testing goal by the user, test sequences are automatically extracted from exhaustive test cases. We’ve implemented our approach and conducted several experiments on practical case studies. Through the experiments, we confirmed the efficiency of our approach in design and test generation of real embedded air-conditioning network systems

Psychosocial factors at work and inflammatory markers: protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis

    Get PDF
Introduction Chronic inflammation may be a mediator for the development of cardiovascular disease (CVD), metabolic diseases and psychotic and neurodegenerative disorders. Meta-analytic associations between work-related psychosocial factors and inflammatory markers have shown that work-related psychosocial factors could affect the flexibility and balance of the immune system. However, few systematic reviews or meta-analyses have investigated the association between work-related psychosocial factors and inflammatory markers. Based on prospective studies, the present investigation will conduct a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis of the association between work-related psychosocial factors and inflammatory markers. Methods and analysis The systematic review and meta-analysis will include published studies identified from electronic databases (PubMed, EMBASE, PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, Web of Science and Japan Medical Abstracts Society) according to recommendations of the Meta-analysis of Observational Studies in Epidemiology guideline. Inclusion criteria are studies that: examined associations between work-related psychosocial factors and increased inflammatory markers; used longitudinal or prospective cohort designs; were conducted among workers; provided sufficient data for calculating ORs or relative risk with 95% CIs; were published as original articles in English or Japanese; and were published up to the end of 2017. Study selection, data extraction, quality assessment and statistical syntheses will be conducted by 14 investigators. Any inconsistencies or disagreements will be resolved through discussion. The quality of studies will be evaluated using the Risk of Bias Assessment Tool for Non-randomized Studies.Ethics and dissemination The investigation study will be based on published studies, so ethics approval is not required. The results of this study will be submitted for publication in a scientific peer-reviewed journal. The findings may be useful for assessing risk factors for increased inflammatory markers in the workplace and determining future approaches for preventing CVD, metabolic diseases and psychotic and neurodegenerative disorders
